27 September - Amsterdam

Weer thuis, lichtelijk melancholiek na 3 geweldige weken. Een paar kilo's extra, 660 foto's rijker, en nog niet helemaal klaar voor het gewone leven. Vanaf morgen weer de reguliere programmering.. bedankt voor het meelezen allen,



Back home, slightly melancholy after 3 fabulous weeks. We added a couple of pounds to ourselves, took 660 pictures to remember this trip by. We don't feel quite ready yet to tackle Real Life as it's waiting for us.

25-26 September - Washington

Wrap it up:



Paula Deen on Food Network. Nobody makes food sound and look more unappetizing. Still, it's great to watch after a heavy day of sightseeing in Washington DC.. dozing off every now and then.. resting your weary feet before going out for your final US dinner.

23 September - Warrenton

Another foggy, beautiful hike in Shenandoah NP. And you can see how easily we move from mountain picnic to fine dining... sandwiches on a tree trunk for lunch, table cloths and the best crab soup ever (not that I've tasted many..) for dinner at Claire's in Warrenton.







De laatste mistige, prachtige wandeling in Shenandoah NP. En je ziet hoe makkelijk we omschakelen van een picnic op een omgevallen boom voor de lunch, naar mooi gedekte tafels en de allerbeste krabsoep ooit (niet dat ik zoveel krabsoep opheb...) bij Claire's in Warrenton, VA.

Sorry guys! we were deep down in rural Virginia for a couple of days in a room without a TV or wifi... it was blissfully quiet but now I have a few days to update!

12 September - Shenandoah, Staunton

Hiking in Shenandoah NP, and to end the day, a fantastic dinner at Staunton Grocery (which is not a grocery store, but an actual restaurant) in Staunton VA. Vacation doesn't get much better than this.
